The Power of Self-LOVE

Confidence is a degree of self -love and appreciation. When we feel beautiful (inside-out),others see us as beautiful.We all have a potential to be Marilyn I believe. Here is a story about her I absolutely love.I hope you get inspired by it.
A friend of late Marilyn Monroe told how, one summer’s day, she and Marilyn Monroe were walking in Manhattan, talking earnestly about a subject on which they both felt strongly. Marilyn was wearing no makeup, a head scarf, and a plain coat , and nobody noticed the famous movie star. As they came to the end of the conversation, Marylin whispered to her friend, “Shall I be HER now ?” Immediately she was recognized and mobbed, causing traffic chaos. Her friend says the amazing thing was that she did not seem to change anything outwardly, she just decided to think of herself differently – and the effect was INCREDIBLE.
This inspiring story is taken out of one of my favorite little books – A year of Spirituality by Ingrid Collins .
Confidence is created within and is celebrated by the way we walk, talk and dress. Sunera is a Style coaching company that is always keeping this in mind. Some women have to start on the outside to create a higher degree of self-love . We live in a busy, demanding and stressful world bombarded by (a lot of times fake) perfection everywhere you look – magazines ,TV, and it just goes on…Sometimes it can be so hard to be good enough. Its exhausting.

Give it a brake for a day and pretend in your mind to be Marylin- beautiful and sexy and so lovable and watch what happens.You will be surprised by the effect of a new way of thinking about your self. Fake it till you make it. Pretend real hard. Its a fun game to play with yourself and the world around you.And if you do ,let me know how it went. I d love to hear it.

Beauty affirmations
What are affirmations ?
Affirmations are positive statements that describe in positive words a desired situation, event, habit or goal, and which are repeated mentally or aloud. When these statements are repeated often and in a certain way, they eventually take root in the subconscious mind and influence it to act accordingly.
When you repeat them with faith, earnestness and attention, they change the programming of your subconscious mind, which in consequence transforms the way you think, your habits, attitudes and skills, and helps you create a better life and attract new opportunities.
Your subconscious mind accepts as true what you keep saying, and eventually attracts corresponding events and situations into your life, irrespective whether they are good or bad for you, so why not choose only positive statements?
Here are some examples:
- I m beautiful, healthy and happy .
- I love my body ,I love my skin, my arms ,my feminine shape, my legs, my hair….you can create your own version.
- I take a good care of my body, I give it good food, I play and relax and do my best to maintain balance in my life.
- My favorite part of my body is……….., because……….(fill in the blanks) have fun with this one.
- I walk proud and confidant wherever I go. I accept compliments easily .
- I honor my body with great wardrobe to express how much I enjoy my body shape.
- I deserve the best.

This is a great book. It has many easy beauty tips and has more “Beauty mantras” as well. Take a trip to chapters, get a cup of coffee and do some positive reading. You ll enjoy this one.

Hi Mia,
I think that drinking plenty of water is one of the easiest t and fastest ways to improve your overall health. After all, our bodies are made of water mostly. I have a habit of drinking one or two glasses of water first thing in the morning and the same before going to bed. I believe it has kept my weight the same for the last over 10 years. I eat healthy and move a lot as well, but I really believe that hydration is the key to continually detox our bodies and prevent overeating.
